The Citizenship Award was recently presented to Lehman-Jackson Elementary School sixth-grader Alex Hoyt at an awards program at the school. The award is presented in memory of Michael Gruen and Linda Wasley, former sixth-grade teachers at Lehman-Jackson Elementary School. The recipient of the Citizenship Award is selected by teachers and students on the basis of those qualities which best exemplify a good citizen- academics, dependability, honesty, cooperation, respect and leadership. Here, Lehman-Jackson Elementary School Principal Marilyn Glogowski presents the award to Hoyt.
