Schools were closed, businesses were slow and the Back Mountain turned into a winter wonderland last Friday as Mother Nature dumped several inches of snow on the area, the first real snowstorm of the season. Area residents made the best of things, though, using the time to do some sleigh riding, make snowmen and even push the cars of their neighbors through the heavy white stuff.
The view down Sterling Avenue in Dallas during a snowstorm is picturesque.
