DALLAS — Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. A $2 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.
The following is the menu for the week of Feb. 8:
MONDAY: Open face roast beef on whole wheat bread, mashed potatoes, parsley buttered carrots, vanilla ice cream, milk and coffee.
TUESDAY: Bag lunch
WEDNESDAY: Vegetable lasagna, Italian vegetable blend, crackers, Mandarin Orange Delight gelatin, milk and coffee
THURSDAY: Pork and peppers, broccoli and carrots, whole wheat noodles, crackers, banana, milk and coffee.
FRIDAY: Valentine’s Day Special Dinner: Roast beef with onion gravy, roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, dinner roll with margarine, chocolate cake, milk and coffee.
