DALLAS — Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. For participants age 60+ a $2.00 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.

The following is the menu for the week of July 20:

MONDAY: Savory pork roast, sweet potatoes, green and wax beans, whole wheat dinner roll, apricot and peaches, milk and coffee.

TUESDAY: Baked fish with parsley butter, stewed tomatoes, macaroni and cheese, pineapple crisp, milk and coffee.

WEDNESDAY: Country Western Day – BBQ Texas breast, cheddar mashed potatoes, steamed corn, coleslaw, wheat dinner roll, apple pie, milk and coffee.

THURSDAY: Meatloaf, cauliflower and peas, mashed potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, cherry gelatin, milk and coffee.

FRIDAY: Chicken salad sandwich, beef barley soup, tomato cucumber dill salad, whole wheat sandwich roll, Ambrosia, milk and coffee.
