DALLAS TWP. — Two local Girl Scouts will collect monetary and supply donations for Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge at Thomas’ Market in the Country Club Shopping Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6.

Nicole Jacobs and Alexis Lanza are Dallas Girl Scouts who are working to obtain their Silver Award. They have chosen Blue Chip to be the recipient of their community service.

The many animals at Blue Chip, a no-kill shelter in Orange, rely on the care and support from volunteers. But feeding and providing veterinary care for the animals is an expensive task.

Jacobs and Lanza will solocit monetary donations, food and supplies during the event. In addition, the two girls have volunteered their time at the shelter. Supplies needed include blankets, towels, bedding and any dog or cat items.
