    DALLAS — Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. A $2 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.

    The following is the menu for the week of Dec. 28:

    MONDAY: Roast beef, peas and cauliflower, mashed potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, apple bread pudding, milk and coffee.

    TUESDAY: Baked ham with pineapple glaze, snap peas, mashed potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, melon cubes, milk and coffee.

    WEDNESDAY: BBQ chicken on whole wheat sandwich roll, chicken vegetable soup, tossed salad, tropical fruit, milk and coffee.

    THURSDAY: New Year’s Lunch — pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, green beans, warm cinnamon apples, chocolate sheet cake, milk and coffee.

    FRIDAY: Center closed — New Year holiday
