Students in fourth- and fifth- grades from Dallas Elementary (DES) and Wycallis Elementary (WES) schools competed at the 2017 Regional IU STEM Competition held at the Luzerne Intermediate Unit in Kingston. This year’s challenge was to build a ride for a new eco-friendly amusement park. The two teams from Dallas Elementary tied for second-place, and the team from Wycallis took first-place and will compete in the state competition in Harrisburg in May.
