KINGSTON TWP. — Small Wonders Day Care School students ages 3 to 6 years old participated in a fundraiser to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital .

The students spent the week preparing for this event. The Northeast Highway Safety Program taught them a lesson on proper-fitting bicycle helmets.

Stories about Bikewell Bear and Pedals the Bunny taught them bicycle safety lessons throughout the week.

This event is used as a teaching tool to help the Back Mountain center’s children understand the importance of helping others who are sick. Director Linda Somoga has been coordinating this event since 1999. This years event raised $1,450, bringing the grand total to $30,000.
