KINGSTON TWP. — Renowned South African conservationist, animal behaviorist, and owner of the magnificent 40,000-acre private game preserve, ChaZen Nature Preserve, Joe Viljoen, will present two programs in Northeastern Pennsylvania about ChaZen, the land and animals of South Africa and his lion, leopard, and wild dog breeding programs.
The first will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 6 at Canteen 900 in Kingston, and the second at 11 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Dietrich Theater in Tunkhannock. Both presentations are open to the public and are free of charge.
Viljoen’s photos alone are worth venturing out on a winter’s day, but the knowledge he will share is outstanding. Come and learn about his genetic work with animals and how it is strengthening the prides, packs and herds of the indigenous animals of South Africa.
