DALLAS TWP. — A Dunkin’ Donuts and freshly made sandwiches are some of the new amenities Pen-Mart will offer when it reopens its Back Mountain location in late April, owner Jay May, said Friday.
The Pen-Mart Gulf gas station and convenience store at the corner of Routes 118 and 415 in Dallas Township closed last year for an extensive renovation process that is winding to an end.
The exterior now features a rustic stone facade and the interior is being completely rebuilt, all to revamp the facility to offer more items for customers.
The location previously featured a Subway, but that will be replaced with a Dunkin’ Donuts, May said. Freshly made, Philadelphia-style sandwiches will be sold as well.
The gas dispensers will be updated with modern pumps that have a television screen, May said.
“They (the new gas dispensers) are pretty neat,” he said.
The gas station/convenience store first opened at the intersection in 1988, May said. He acquired the business in 1994.
