Daddow-Isaacs Dallas American Legion Post 672 honored students who competed in the oratorical and essay contests and gave $1,000 scholarships to four students who will attend a two-year college. The first place winners received a medal, a certificate and a check for $200. Second place winners received a medal, a certificate, and a check for $100. Parents and student recipients were treated to refreshments after the presentations. The annual American Legion golf tournament provides funds for the scholarships.
