DALLAS — The board of directors and staff of the Back Mountain Memorial Library wish to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make the library’s 70th annual auction such a memorable event.

A special thanks goes to the many volunteers who worked countless hours throughout the weeks prior to and during the auction. They truly are the heart and soul of this important library fundraiser. We also appreciate all auction attendees that braved the heat and rain and enjoyed the fun and excitement of these four days!

Remember that the farmers market is now in full swing and is held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dallas Elementary School. Be sure to stop by for the freshest selection of produce and other delicious items.

If families are looking for a fun event, don’t forget about the next performance of the children’s theater group, “Take the Stage.” The group will perform “A Mother Goose Comedy” beginning at 6 p.m. Aug. 19 and 20. Tickets for this performance, which will be held on the library grounds, are $3 for children under age 10 and $5 for adults and may be purchased at the time of the event.
