HARVEYS LAKE — Antique and classic boats will be featured at the 26th Annual Harveys Lake Chapter Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS) Boat Show open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 20 on the docks at Grotto Marina, Route 415.

Winners of the People’s Choice Award and Ladies Choice Award are chosen by sightseers.

“The Bike King” owned by Josh Bryant from Harveys Lake won the People’s Choice Award at the 2015 boat show. She is a 1940 Chris Craft 17-foot Barrel Back Hull with the original 95 hp engine. In 1955, Bryant’s grandfather purchased her from the original owner for $1,000 and named it “The Bike King” as he had a bicycle store in Kingston.

The Antique and Classic Boat Society, Inc. is a national organization that promotes preservation and restoration of antique and classic boats. Membership is open to the public and any other entities. Boat ownership is not required.

The boat show features live music presented by John and Terry from the Strawberry Jam Duo.

Grotto Marina is located on Route 415 at the entrance to Harveys Lake. Plenty of off-street free parking is available at nearby lots.
