    DALLAS — The Back Mountain Bloomers will host lunch with David Culp, a nationally-acclaimed garden designer and author, at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 at Irem Country Club.

    During the luncheon, Culp will speak on the topic, “A Second Look at Fall,” with colorful ideas for gardens during that season. The event will feature a basket raffle and door prizes along with copies of the book for purchase and signing.

    Culp’s book, “A Layered Garden,” is the winner of the Best Overall Book by the Garden Writers Association. His work has been featured in national gardening magazines, including Martha Stewart Living, Country Living and others. Culp’s garden has been featured several times in Martha Stewart Living and on HGTV. Brandywine Cottage is listed in the Smithsonian Institution Archives of American Gardens.
