DALLAS TWP. — Any real estate agent will say the key to a good property investment is location.
When a commercial space on busy Route 309 with customer parking was listed for sale, Joe Gilroy, the owner of Joseph P. Gilroy Real Estate, located at 230 Wyoming Ave., in Kingston, jumped at the opportunity to open a second branch in Dallas.
“We (Gilroy and staff) were talking about opening a Back Mountain branch since late 2015,” he said. “We wanted to have a presence in the Back Mountain.”
The new building, located at 2512 Route 309 in Dallas Township, behind Weis, will now offer convenience to Gilroy’s clients and agents who are working a highly active real estate market, he said.
“We have a lot of clients back here (in the Back Mountain),” said Brenda Pugh, a real estate agent and the office manager with the agency.
Gilroy had the building renovated to accommodate a board room for real estate closings, individual office spaces, and a reception area. The building is also wired to provide online access to large televisions, Gilroy said. The televisions will display a real-time feed of residential and commercial listings for clients, he said.
Pugh added agents could pull up contracts to review them with clients on the large screen as well.
“The contractor did a great job in getting us in in time for the open house,” Gilroy said.
Gilroy and his staff hosted a public open house on Aug. 20 and 21.
The office will be open regularly from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The office will be open after hours and on Sundays by appointment only, Pugh said.
Real estate agents from Joseph P. Gilroy Real Estate Kingston office can work out of the Dallas branch to aid in creating a localized and convenient property buying experience.
Real estate agents Adrienne Eyet, Jenny Centrella, Pugh and Gilroy will staff the Dallas location.
“We are in the neighborhood and can provide a personal touch,” Pugh said.
A new sign along Route 309 has attracted attention from house hunters, Pugh said.
“It is all about helping people find a house,” Pugh said.
