After a night of rain, the Wyoming Valley can look forward to some sunshine today.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 51 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies reported.

Partly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 53. Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 37.

Sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, with a high near 49.

Clouds will increase on Wednesday night, and there will be a 40 percent chance of showers. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain will be possible, and the low will be around 40.

An 80 percent chance of showers is predicted for Thursday, but no rainfall amounts have been predicted. The high will be near 49.

Thursday night will bring a 40 percent chance of showers, with a low near 38.
