Rain could dampen the Wyoming Valley on Friday

Sunny skies are expected to stick around the Wyoming Valley, but rain is possible on Friday and into Friday night.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 10 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.

Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 36. Clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 16.

Sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, with a high near 41. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Thursday night, with a low around 24.

Partly sunny skies are expected on Friday, along with a slight chance of rain. A 30 percent chance of rain is predicted, and the high will be near 42.

Rain will be likely on Friday night, which could possibly be mixed with freezing rain. A 60 percent chance of rain is predicted, and the low will be around 33.
