The Wyoming Valley could see some rain and snow into the weekend, but sunny skies are expected to round out the week.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 17 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with light snow reported.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected today, with a high near 32. Those cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 32.

Partly sunny skies are predicted for Friday, with a high near 44.

Clouds will move into the region on Friday night, with rain likely after 2 a.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain could fall, and the low will be around 37.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected on Saturday, along with a 30 percent chance of rain before 1 p.m. The high will be near 38.

Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Saturday night, with a low around 17.

Mostly cloudy skies will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, along with a 30 percent chance of snow showers. The high will be near 31. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 17.
