The Wyoming Valley could see a little snow as the week carries on.

As questions mount about a possible Nor’Easter hitting the region this weekend, forecasts indicate that snow is likely this weekend.

What’s not known, however, is how much could fall.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 10 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with a wind chill that made it feel like -5. A few clouds were reported.

Partly sunny skies are expected today, along with a 30 percent chance of snow showers before 2 p.m. Less than half an inch of snow could fall, and winds could gust as high was 29 miles per hour. Today’s high will be near 22, but the wind chill could make it feel like -4.

Partly cloudy skies will carry over into tonight, with a low around 16.

Partly sunny skies are expected for Wednesday, with a high near 30. Cloudy skies will carry over into Wednesday night, along with a 30 percent chance of snow showers between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Less than a half an inch of snow accumulation is expected, and the low will be around 18.

Mostly sunny skies are expected for Thursday, with a high near 28. Partly cloudy skies will carry over into Thursday night, with a low around 15.

The weekend forecast

Mostly cloudy skies will round out the week on Friday, with a 50 percent chance of snow possible after 8 a.m. No snowfall amounts have yet been predicted, and the high will be near 28.

Snow will be likely after 8 p.m. on Friday night, with a 60 percent chance of precipitation predicted, but no snowfall amounts have been predicted. The low will be around 23.

Snow is expected to be likely on Saturday and into Saturday night, with a 60 percent chance of precipitation predicted during the day and night. No snowfall amounts have been predicted, and Saturday’s high will be near 28 while Saturday night’s low will be around 19.

Partly sunny skies will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, with a 30 percent chance of snow predicted. The high will be near 30.

Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Sunday night, with a low around 15.
