Aside from a slight chance of rain and snow today, the Wyoming Valley should have a quiet weekend to look forward to.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 26 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies reported.
There will be a chance of snow showers this morning, and some rain could mix in after noon. The precipitation will gradually end as the day progresses, and mostly cloudy skies are expected. Less than half an inch of snow accumulation is expected, and today’s high will be near 35.
Partly cloudy skies are predicted for tonight, with a low around 17.
Partly sunny skies are expected for Saturday, with a high near 36. Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Saturday night, with a low around 31.
Partly sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high climbing near 47. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 34.
