NANTICOKE — Commuters on Interstate 81 northbound could encounter some delays due to a single-lane closure.

Officials from PennDOT said in an email that I-81 northbound between Exit 159 (Nuangola) and Exit 164 (Nanticoke) is restricted to a single-lane traffic so crews can remove a fully-loaded tractor trailer that crashed last week.

Officials did not indicate when both lanes of traffic would be restored.

The Times Leader’s traffic page indicates that heavy congestion is reported on I-81 north in the area of the single-lane closure.
