Commuter could encounter some scattered areas of traffic congestion this morning, but the commute into work and school should be a smooth one.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Minor traffic congestion is reported on Route 315 in the area near the Woodlands Inn, while heavy traffic congestion is reported on Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, scattered areas of congestion are reported on Mundy Street.

Downtown, areas of minor congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard, as well as North and South Pennsylvania avenues.

Some heavier congestion is reported on Carey Avenue and the turn onto Hazle Street. Elsewhere, minor congestion is reported on East North and North River streets, along with the North Street Bridge.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor traffic congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue.
