Commuters could encounter areas of minor traffic congestion this morning

Commuters could encounter some areas of minor traffic congestion on the way into work and school this morning.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstate 81, while scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on Interstate 476.

Some areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported throughout Route 315, while heavy congestion is reported on Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps. The South Cross Valley Expressway is reporting widespread areas of minor traffic congestion throughout the roadway.

Downtown, minor congestion is reported throughout Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Isolated areas of heavy congestion are reported on Hazle Street, along with other areas of minor congestion. Elsewhere, scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on North Main, South Main, East Market, North River and South River streets.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue.
