The Wyoming Valley could get a dose of rain throughout today and again on Thursday.

According to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms will form midday and push southeast through the area. Some thunderstorms could have large hail and damaging winds.

No watches or warnings have been issued for Luzerne or Lackawanna counties.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 52 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fog and mist reported.

Showers are likely today, along with the possibility for some thunderstorms before 5 p.m. Up to a half an inch of rain could fall, and the high will be near 67.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight, along with a chance of showers before 8 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 39.

Sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, with a high near 62. Mostly clear skies will carry over into Wednesday night, with a low around 38.

Showers are expected to be likely on Thursday, but no precipitation amounts have been predicted. The high will be near 57.

Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Thursday night, along with a 50 percent chance of showers. The low will be around 41.
