The Wyoming Valley could get some more rain as the week comes to a close.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 40 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies reported.

Mostly cloudy skies will gradually become sunny today, with a high near 63. Mostly clear skies are expected into tonight, with a low around 38.

Partly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, along with a chance of showers after 1 p.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the high will be near 57.

Cloudy skies are expected into Thursday night, along with a chance of showers. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 44.

Cloudy skies are expected to round out the week on Friday, along with a chance for showers. The high will be near 56.

Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Friday night, along with a slight chance of showers before 2 a.m. The low will be around 41.
