Today marks the official start of the summer, and it will certainly feel like it in the Wyoming Valley.
The area, however, could also see some rain as the week progresses.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 63 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.
Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 90.
Clouds will move into the region tonight, and there will be a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 64.
Mostly sunny skies are expected on Tuesday, along with some scattered showers before 7 a.m. The high will be near 82.
Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Tuesday night, with a low around 56.
Wednesday will once again bring mostly sunny skies, with a high near 79. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Wednesday night, along with isolated showers after 9 p.m. The low will be around 57.
