Sunshine is expected to stick around the Wyoming Valley through Wednesday, but rain will be possible into the latter part of the week.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 65 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and a few clouds were reported.
Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 83. Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 58.
Wednesday will also bring mostly sunny skies, and a high near 79.
Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Wednesday night, along with a 40 percent chance of showers. Less than a tenth of an inch of rainfall is expected, and the low will be around 58.
Showers are likely Thursday, along with possible thunderstorms before 2 p.m. A 70 percent chance of rain is predicted, but no rainfall amounts have been predicted. The high will be near 78.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely before 8 p.m. Thursday night, followed by a chance of showers into the overnight hours. The low will be around 56.
