Scattered areas of traffic congestion in the Wyoming Valley could add a few minutes onto the commute this morning.

Heavy congestion is reported in the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 south of Dupont, but Interstate 476 is free of congestion.

Scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on Routes 315 and 115.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps. The South Cross Valley Expressway is also free of congestion.

In Wilkes-Barre Township, areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Highland Park Boulevard near Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace.

Downtown Wilkes-Barre is generally quiet this morning, but some isolated areas of minor congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Isolated minor congestion is also reported on South Main and South River streets, but heavier congestion is reported on North River Street near Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported along Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
