Sunshine and cooler temperatures are expected in the Wyoming Valley into the midweek, and a slight chance of snow is possible into Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 47 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fog and mist were reported.

There will be a slight chance of showers before 8 a.m. today — otherwise, partly sunny skies are expected. Today’s high will be near 53.

Mostly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 37.

Partly sunny skies are predicted for Tuesday, with a high near 49. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Tuesday night, with a low around 31.

Mostly sunny skies are expected on Wednesday, with a high near 47. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Wednesday night, along with a slight chance of rain or snow showers after 2 a.m. The low will be around 31.
