The Wyoming Valley could see some snowflakes fall tonight and into Thursday.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 31 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 48.

Clouds will increase tonight, and there will be a chance of rain and snow before 4 a.m. Less than half an inch of snow and sleet accumulation is expected, and the low will be around 31.

Rain and sleet will be possible before 10 a.m. Thursday, followed by rain after 10 a.m. A 90 percent chance of precipitation is predicted, but less than half an inch of snow and sleet accumulation is possible. The high will be near 48.

Cloudy skies are predicted into Thursday night, with rain likely before 2 a.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the low will be around 40.

Partly sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 50. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Friday night, with a low around 40.
