Rome, a sophomore, was William & Mary’s top runner is all but one race this season. She won both the William & Mary Invitational and Princeton Inter-Regional. She placed ninth overall against an elite national field at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational.

After finishing fifth in the NCAA Southeast Regional, Rome finished 25th overall at the NCAA Division I Championships to earn All-American honors.

Stites was second to Rome in both of her wins and won the CAA Championships. She had made seven straight national appearances, counting indoor and outdoor track and cross country, the longest active streak until missing regionals and nationals with an injury.
