Back Mountain will have a second shot at a state Little League championship when it takes on Yough in Cranberry at noon on Monday.

Back Mountain fell to Yough, 9-7, in the first championship game on Sunday. Todd Phillips went 2 for 4 with two RBI, Lucas McGeehan and Kyle Sincavage each had an RBI single. Cooper Kelley went three innings on the mound.

Back Mountain defeated Franklin, 10-2, in the winner’s bracket final. Phillips was 2 for 5 with an RBI, Frank Nockley (2 for 3) finished with two RBI and two doubles, Lucas McGeehan (2-4) had an RBI double and Kyle Sincavage had a double with two RBI.

McGeehan went four innings, striking out five and giving up two hits to pick up the win.
