CAIN - Marguerite M. "Maggie," 82, of Dallas, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Dallas.


She was born in New York City, on December 14, 1929, raised in the Kingston area and graduated from Kingston High School in 1947. In her early years, she worked at the Chatterbox Restaurant in Ocean City, N.J. Prior to starting her family, she spent several years as a stewardess for American Airlines.


Surviving are her children, Wilson Fieldhouse Jr., of Guangzhou, China; Sara Boylan, of Louisville, Colo.; four grandchildren.



GRAMBERG - Joseph, 92, of Tunkhannock, Lemon Twp., died on Tuesday, February 21, 2012.


He was born on December 15, 1919 and was employed by P&G, retiring in 1985.


Surviving are daughters, Loretta Sickler, of Cape Vincent, N.Y.; Lorraine Culver, of Knoxsville, Md.; Barbara Inman, of Mehoopany; son, David, of Macungie; three sisters, Helen, Anna and Josie; three brothers, Mike, Eddie and Charlie, all residing in New Jersey; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.



HARTZELL - Albert R., 78, of Valley View Drive, Hunlock Creek, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at home.


He was born on February 7, and was the owner and operator of Hartzell Transmission and Auto Repair of Hunlock Creek for more than 45 years. He was a certified helicopter pilot.


Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Lola Hill Hartzell; daughters, Deborah Bruno and Liza Morganti, both of Hunlock Creek, sister, Dorothy Masters, of Doylestown; nieces and nephews.



KAMARUNAS - Loretta A., 72, of Beaumont, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.


She was born in Wilkes-Barre, was a graduate of Dallas Area High School, Class of 1957. She was employed for 27 years as a bookkeeper for L.L. Richardson Dodge, Dallas.


Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Jerzak, Dallas; son, John S. Monka Jr., Trucksville; stepdaughter, Andrea Nunn, Columbus, Ohio; stepson, Anthony Kamarunas Jr., Swoyersville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Catherine Trudgen; brother, Dan Updyke; nieces and nephews.

MOHR - Mary Whitby, 91, of Newberry Estates, Dallas, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Mercy Center, one day before her 92nd birthday.


She was born in Kingston, and was a graduate of Edwardsville High School and Bloomsburg College, with a degree in elementary education. She was a fourth-grade teacher in the Dallas School District for 40 years.


She was a member of the Dallas Untied Methodist Church. She was very active in the Irem Temple Shrine, Dallas Rotary Club and the John Heinz Auxiliary.


Surviving are her daughters, Miriam Bayliss, Reading; and Merilee Twardowski, Liverpool, N.Y.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

MULVANEY - Susan (Shaulis), 63, of Dallas, died on Friday, February 24, 2012 in Hospice Community Care at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre after a courageous six year battle with cancer.


She was born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, on February 3, 1949, and was a graduate of Meyers High School, class of 1967. She was formerly employed by the Flagship Bank in Bradenton, Florida. She was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Machell Avenue, Dallas.


Surviving are her mother, Alice Brant Mutter, of Wilkes-Barrel; daughters, Kelly Shaulis Bednar, Mountain Top; Megan Shaulis Sevenski, Dallas; Alison Shaulis Park, Christiana, Del.; six grandchildren; brothers, Edward Mutter, Wilkes-Barre; John J. Mutter Jr., Hampton, Georgia; Mark Mutter, St. Petersburg, Fla.; sisters, Robin Hammond, Hawley; Janelle Wierbowski, Hawley; nieces and nephews.

MYERS - Jacqueline Jean, 84, formerly of Harveys Lake and Forty Fort, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.


She was born in Syracuse, N.Y., and was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. In her early years, she worked at a lace mill in Wilkes-Barre and for the former Helen K. Salzburg Candy Company. In later years, she was employed by First Eastern Bank in their Computer Center in Wilkes-Barre.


She was a member of Forty Fort United Methodist Church and active in many of the church's clubs and annual events, including the Couples Club.


Surviving are sons, Richard D., Moneta, Va.; Bruce K., Dallas; daughter, Pamela Bernoski, Ewing, N.J.; four grandchildren; one great-grandson.

WOODYATT - Linda Marie Thomason, 52, of Tunkhannock, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 after a 15-month battle with cancer.


She was born on October 3, 1959, in Ypsilanti, Mich. She was a member of the Arbor Day Foundation and the Creek Side Conservency.


Surviving are her husband, John H. Woodyatt; son, Waylon Thomason, of Bowling Green, Ohio; brothers, Eric and Michael Thomason, of Florida; Chris Thomason, of Ohio; and four grandchildren.
