Joan Taylor of Shavertown, will display her collection of vintage silhouettes at the Back Mountain Memorial Library during the month October. Joan's collection consists of items she has purchased over the past 30 years. She states that she has a "love of vintage items." Her favorite pieces are "those vignettes that tell a story" and the "Lady in Her Boudoir" is one of which she is especially fond. Joan enjoys going to estate sales and, even though she does not go specifically to find silhouettes, if she sees one she likes, she will purchase it. Her advice to people who also enjoy collecting is choose "what catches your eye and what you enjoy looking at."
