DALLAS TWP. — The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the Alzheimer’s Support Group that meets at the Meadows, recently held its annual Alzheimer’s Interfaith Candlelight Vigil.
Opening the program in the center’s chapel, Boy Scout Troop No. 155, Trucksville, conducted a flag ceremony and led clergy, family, staff and friends in the Pledge of Allegiance. During the ceremony, a special tribute was paid to veterans for their service.
Prior to the ceremony, members of the Alzheimer’s support group presented a monetary donation to the Boy Scouts.
The nursing center hosts an Alzheimer’s support group the first Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. in the Meadows board room. This support group benefits caregivers by providing the opportunity to address their concerns and learn about the newest developments in the treatment of this disease.
