One Luzerne County ethics complaint has been dismissed, and three new ones must be forwarded to outside attorneys for review, officials said during Tuesday’s county Ethics Commission meeting.

A union agreement with 240 Wilkes-Barre General Hospital nurses was overwhelmingly ratified Monday night, less than 24 hours after the prior contract expired, an announcement said.

Luzerne County 911 is recommending address changes for approximately 10 properties on Butler Street in Forty Fort to avoid confusion with the same addresses on Butler Street in neighboring Kingston, county officials said.

Luzerne County is seeking applicants for the next sheriff at a salary range of $75,000 to $80,000, according to an online posting.
